A Case of Non-Hodgkin¢¥s Lymphoma manifested with idiopatiic thrombocytopenic purpura







Abstract
Idiopathic thrombocytopenic pupura combined with Non-Hodgkin¢¥s Lymphoma is quite rare.
A 72 year-old male was admitted with severe thrombocytopenia. He had been treated with corticosteroid and immunoglobulin for thrombocytopenia at other hospital. We made a dignosis of NHL by physical examination, bone marrow examination and biopsy of cervical lymph node.
We treated him with CHOP (Cyclophosphamide, Adriamycin, Vincristine, Prednisolone) combination chemotherapy. Thrombocytopenia improved near normal range after chemotherapy. But, when the next chemoday to be near, thrombocytopenia became worsen. The patient was treated with CHOP chemotherapy total nine times. NHL was complete response to chemotherapy and platelet incresed slowly to 93,000/0. Now we follow up him at out patient department.
